<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Patricia R. Hanshaw, 95, of Winfield, KS passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Winfield Rest Haven.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Winfield Rest Haven. Arrangements are in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Patricia was born on December 28, 1924 to parents Samuel and Beunabell (Conover) Sherman in Tulsa, OK. Patricia grew up in Moline, she attended Moline High School. She was united in marriage to Donald Hardison Hanshaw in Winfield on February 14, 1948, while Donald was drilling for oil the couple moved all over Western Kansas and to Calgary, Canada before settling in Winfield in 1951. Patricia proudly worked at Los Alamos in New Mexico during the Manhattan Project, she also worked at the Winfield State Hospital, Gott Corp., and later for Binney and Smith in Winfield for over 20 years. Patricia enjoyed painting landscapes, going to restaurants, playing bingo and card games, but the most important thing to her was family.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Patricia is survived by her sons, Bruce Hanshaw and Brad Hanshaw.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter Christina Sue, sisters: Lauree Shaw, Mary Kelly, Genelle Campbell, Meredith Sherman and Barbara &ldquo;Bobbi&rdquo; Hendricks; brothers Dr. Keith Sherman and Rexford Sherman.</span></span></p>

My fondest memories of Aunt Pat will be her love of fashion, shopping and candy.   She offered a quick smile and warmth whenever you arrived to visit her.  She loved sharing stories and asking you about your life.  You will be missed 💗
