Sanford Bennett Obituary

Sanford Cornelious Bennett, 84, of Cobb County Georgia, died on the 5th of September, 2020, at his home in Marietta surrounded by his family. He was born in Gainesville, GA on the 17th of September, 1935, to Arnold and Eliza Bennett. He is predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Annie Maye Feagans Bennett. He is survived by his sister, Vaunda Holcomb; his aunt, Sandra McNeil; and his children: Lisa Bennett, Tauna Bennett Tucker, Nathan Alan Bennett, and Melissa Bennett Marin. He is also survived by six grandchildren: James, Victoria, Julia, Emiliano, Orlando, and Mateo. He attended Sprayberry High School in Marietta, before continuing his education at Palmer Chiropractic College. He went on to practice for over 50 years in Marietta. He was a lifelong active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served his community both through the church and his clinic. He tirelessly gave of himself to friends, family, and strangers alike. His frugality was legendary and unmatched. He would want you to turn off that light now. Sanford loved watching the Braves with the sound off, eating ice cream, spending time with his family, and serving the LDS church at the Atlanta temple. Arrangements are with Southern Cremations & Funerals in Marietta, GA.
