Wayne Edward Justus

WAYNE EDWARD JUSTUS, 87 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Herman and Ettie (Charles) Justus. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Little Prater Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, great-great-great-grandfather and was a retired coal miner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Justus Dotson; his brother, Jessie Justus; Half Sister: Vernie Walk and 2-Half Brothers: Bob and Hub Ruderford. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ruby Mae (Hurley) Justus of Hurley, VA; his children, Darlis Justus of Hurley, VA, Freddie (Sheliah) Justus of Hurley, VA, Helene Justus (Steve) Clevinger of Hurley, VA, Margaret Ann Justus of Hurley, VA, Sabrena Justus of Hurley, VA; 2-Sisters: Delphia Justus of Hurley, VA, Thelma Justus Lockhart of Wytheville, VA; 1-Brother: Clinton (Ruby) Justus of Hurley, VA. Also, survived by 7-Grandchildren, 15-Great-Grandchildren, 1-Great-Great-Grandchild, 1-Great-Great-Great-Grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for WAYNE EDWARD JUSTUS will be conducted Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Little Prater Church of Christ with Gerald Vanover and Ken Runyon officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA. Friends may call at the Little Prater Church of Christ Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. Active Pallbearers will be Men of Little Prater Church of Christ. We will be taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. In an effort to minimize direct contact, we ask that you consider avoiding shaking hands or physical contact with the members of the family or other guests. Direct Eye Contact, Loving Words, and a Warm Smile can be as meaningful to the families as a traditional handshake or hug, especially during these difficult times.
