John "Jay" Rivers, Jr., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 5, 2020.  Mr. Rivers was a member of Covington First United Methodist Church and Director of Operations at Delfield.  The husband of Ann Belter Rivers, he also leaves his daughter Abigail Leigh "Abbie" (Benton) Lindsey of Brighton; his sons Gabriel John "Gabe" (Charley) Rivers of Atlanta, GA, and Eric Christopher Allen of Cadillac, MI; sister Sallie Rivers of Ashville, NC; brothers Ben Rivers of Fairburn, GA, Andy Rivers of Crofton, Maryland, and Joe Rivers of Cadillac, MI; and grandchildren John Carlyle "Jack" Lindsey, Luke Rivers Lindsey, William Seabrook Lindsey, Camden Christopher Allen, Adriana Rae Allen, Anna Charles Rivers, and Mary Margaret Seabrook Rivers.  

The family will receive friends 5-7PM Tuesday, September 8, at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home.  Private graveside services are planned for  Wednesday, September 9, at Covington Memorial Gardens.
