<p>Mrs. Virgie Lee Sims was born May 3, 1947 in Norfolk, VA to the late James Lee Draper and Clementine Hardy &ndash; Wilson. Virgie was called to her heavenly home on September 5, 2020 in Suffolk, VA. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and her husband/best friend Hollis E. Sims.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Virgie was the second eldest of her immediate family that always kept everyone together with God&rsquo;s agape love. Virgie graduate from Booker T. Washington and E.C.P.I. She worked as an administrative field until her retirement.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Everyone who knows her well, knew that she loved her children Valerie and Terrell. She shared with them that her best job was being a mother, grandmother and great &ndash; grandmother.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Left to forever cherish her memories are her children Valarie Brickhouse &amp; Terrell Brickhouse (Melissa); sisters Annie Pate, Regina Hillman, Amanda Trotter; brother Michael Wilson. Her legacy also includes eight (8) grandchildren and six (6) great &ndash; grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Viewing for Mrs. Sims will be held two hours prior to service Thursday, September 10, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Services&nbsp;for Mrs. Sims will be held 1:00p.m. Thursday, September 10 , 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA. by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr.,&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Entombment will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Columbus, OH.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>It is the desire of the Sims&nbsp;family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The family of&nbsp; Mrs. Virgie L. Sims&nbsp; has entrusted her&nbsp;local&nbsp;care to the staff of C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc. and final care to Marlan Gary Funeral Home,&nbsp;North Chapel. Columbus, OH.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
