Ms. Catherine Elizabeth Garnett

Ms. Catherine Elizabeth Garnett, was born on May 11, 1925 in Appling, GA to the late Robert and the late Emmie Garnett. She transitioned peacefully in her home on September 5, 2020 in Appling, GA at the blessed age of 95. Catherine was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Garnett. Catherine joined Second Mount Carmel Baptist Church of Appling, GA, at an early age. She served there until her health started to decline. When time permitted itself, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She had a passion for cooking and cleaning. During her employment years, Catherine performed domestic work for families in their private home for many years. Left to cherish her wonderful memory: three daughters, Joann Garnett, Betty Parks and Belinda (Nathaniel) Houston; two sons, William Garnett and Bobby (Catherine) Garnett all of Appling, GA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Johnson and Georgia Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
