James F. Salas Jr., 46, born February 20, 1974 unexpectedly passed away on August 22, 2020 at UMC in El Paso, Tx. He was born in Ruidoso, NM and lived the majority of his life in Lincoln County or the surrounding area.

James is survived by his father James Salas Sr. of Hondo, NM; mother Theresa Lynn Zamora of Albuquerque, NM; his children, Alexandria Salas of San Diego, Ca, son Elliot Salas of Tumwater, Wa, son Bo Salas of Las Cruces, NM, and son Cooper Salas of Alamogordo, NM; brothers Danny Salcido and sister-in-law Angela of Las Vegas, NM and Philbert Salas and sister-in-law Amanda of Gardner, Co; sister Patricia Salas of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews and niece as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Those that knew James were drawn in by his wild spirit and infectious smile. He loved roping, hunting and fishing. He also loved talking and sharing stories with people he knew and even those he didn’t. James will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

Services for James will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church in San Patricio, NM on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M.. Burial will be after mass at the Salas Cemetery.

To my brother until we meet again Give Heaven Some Hell, but not to much and I can’t wait to see your smile and hear your stories again. Rest in Peace my brother….
