<p>Charley Ray Simmer was born August 2nd, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Franklin Simmer and Mary Jane Davis.&nbsp;&nbsp;He passed away on September 3rd, 2020, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.&nbsp;&nbsp;Charlie was a proud citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and was commonly known around town as &ldquo;Indian&rdquo;.&nbsp;&nbsp;Charlie owned and worked as a body shop repairman and painter for many years.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was a big fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma City Thunder.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was an avid reader and loved listening to music.&nbsp;&nbsp;He is preceded in death by his father Franklin Simmer, his brother Ricky and his sisters Judy Simmer and Catherine Simmer-Brown.&nbsp;&nbsp;He is survived by his sons, Jay Simmer, Zachariah Simmer and Charles Simmer,&nbsp;&nbsp;his mother Mary Simmer and his grandson as well as many family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;Funeral services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.&nbsp;&nbsp;Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, September, 8th&nbsp;2020 at Smith Funeral Home.&nbsp;&nbsp;Internment will be at Simmer-Hill Family Cemetery in Cromwell, Oklahoma, at 2:00 P.M.&nbsp;</p>
