<p>EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Early Sonnier announces his passing on Thursday, September 03, 2020 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family at the age of 72. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Duralde with Deacon Chuck Ortego officiating.</p> <p> John was a hardworking, faithful man. He enjoyed hunting and was a Jack-of-all-Trades. Left to cherish his memory is his children, Danny James Sonnier and wife, Denise of Youngsville, Justin Sonnier of Duralde, John Sonnier, Jr. of Duralde, and Yolanda M. Perry and husband, Ronald of Jennings; brother, Larry Sonnier of Pitreville; sisters, Angela Sonnier of Mallet, and Abigail Cesar of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Marcus Sonnier, Bishop Sonnier, Susan Boutte, Anita Sonnier, Deondra Pete, and Ce’leina Perry; six great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.</p> <p> He is preceded in death by his parents, Ulysse and Victoria Papillion Sonnier; brother, Ulysse Sonnier, Jr; and sisters, Cora Martha Colligan and Rose Ann Guillory.</p> <p> At the request of the family, visitation will be held at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Duralde on Saturday, September 12th from 11:00 am until time of services. </p> <p> Family and friends may view this obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.</p> <p> Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Eunice, 1301 West Laurel Ave, (337)457.3371 is in charge of arrangements.</p>Obituary
