Phyllis Ann Lester

Phyllis Ann Lester, age 65, of Richlands, VA passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020. She was born November 18, 1954 in Richlands, VA and was the daughter of the late Leon and Estie Chapman. She was a member of the Cedar Bluff Community Church. Phyllis enjoyed her Bible studies and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Chapman, Jr. and Ralph Chapman; sister, Lisa Sluss. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 46 years, Johnny Lester; two sons, Johnny Lester, Jr. and wife Rhonda and Christopher Lester; grandchildren, Beverly Lester, Sydney Lester, Olivia Lester, Madison Horn, and Kaelyn Lester; two brothers, Shannon Chapman and Gary McGhee and wife Judy; special k-9 companion, Tiny. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, September 4th at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 5th at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Tim Lester and Pastor Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Chris Lester and the men of Cedar Bluff Community Church.
