Teresa G. Patterson

Teresa Gligoric Patterson of Millersville, Maryland, born March 28,1950, died on September 2, 2020 at her home. Teresa was born in the former Yugoslavia and emigrated to New Jersey in 1969. Teresa was a fashion dress seamstress who later owned and operated Terry White Real Estate along with her husband, Paul until his death in 1995. Teresa then married William Patterson on March 5, 2003 in Annapolis, Maryland. Mr. Patterson was a federal government analyst and also a retired US Army Colonel. They moved to Millersville in 2003, where Teresa resided until her passing. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville. Teresa composed poetry in her native Hungarian language, many of which were published in Hungary. She was invited to address a Poets Consortium in Budapest in 2008 due to her popularity among the Hungarian poetry community. She is survived by her husband William, a daughter Angela, two granddaughters Amanda and Nicole, three sisters, Elizabeth, Katalin and Cecilia, and many nieces and nephews.
