Betty Jo Sapanas Winstead, 86, of Knoxville, died Monday, August 31, 2020 at her home. She was born September 25, 1933 in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of Nick and Bessie Moore Sapanas. In addition to her parents and 5 siblings, she was preceded in death by husband Frank Winstead in 2015. She is survived by son, Jimmy Gheen (Sandra) of Knoxville; step-daughters, Nancy Winstead Patterson (Bob) of Franklin, TN and Brenda Winstead Fox of Andersonville, TN; sister, Marilyn Sapanas Callihan of Maryville; sister-in-law Kay Winstead of Myrtle Beach, SC; 4 grandchildren, Kay Gheen Taylor (Jeff) of Charlotte, NC, Jamey Gheen (LeAnn) of Knoxville, TN, Wes Spining (Nicole) and Will Patterson, all of Franklin, TN; and 9 great grandchildren.
