Mr. Billy Ray Mitchell was called home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2020 at his home. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Leherton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. He was born November 25, 1956 to Estel & Frances Mitchell in Ruleville, MS. Billy attended Cleveland High and later became the manager of a local filling station. Billy was well known for making daily visits to local doughnut/coffee shops meeting no strangers as he was such a social bug. He was a phenomenal artist, loved to draw and loved music. One of his prized possessions was an avid record collection that he has left to his nieces. He could play the guitar and harmonica. He loved spending time with his family and kept them quite entertained. He is preceded in death by his father, Estel Mitchell. Billy is survived by his mother, Frances Mitchell of Columbus, MS; brother Jerry (Hope) Mitchelll of Columbus, MS; nieces Kaylee Mitchell and Mea (Jason) Carter both of Columbus, MS; great nephew, Judah Carter of Columbus.
