The family of Aaren Davis Benson of Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan announces his passing on August 27, 2020 at the age of 35 years. Aaren is lovingly survived by his common-law spouse: Sherry Houle of Big Island Lake Cree Nation; daughter: Patience Little Spruce of Thunderchild, Saskatchewan; mother: Lillian Sandfly; Darcy Ochuschayoo; maternal grandmother: Mary Jane Benson; twelve brothers: Calvin, Jonathan, Brent, Leroy, Evan, Dwight, Tyler, Reno, D.J, Darwin, Yzerman, Lezner; seven sisters: Jessica, Angel, Erica, Agnes, Marty, Dasha, Darcy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives. Aaren was predeceased by his father; Alex Kahpeepatow; two brothers: Malcolm Morningchild, Christopher Benson; paternal grandparents: Philip & Belle Kahpeepatow; maternal grandfather: James Kahpeepatow.
