Loretta M. (Lori) Smith, 37 , a resident of Velarde passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 27, 2020. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Serenity Floriano, father Trenton Smith; aunt Sandra Duran; grandfather Jose E. Duran Sr.; grandmothers Viola Smith and Theresa Duran and uncle Joe E. Duran Jr.  She is survived by her children Makayla and Joey Floriano and PearlLinda Sanders; mother Julia Smith; sisters Terri Smith (Jerry) and Patricia Garcia and family; niece/Goddaugher Chantel Baker (Adrian); nephew Jayden Baker; aunts Rose Trujillo     (Bernie) and family, LouAnn Atencio (Ben) and family, Melanie Smith and family, Ruth Smith and family; uncles Mark Smith and family, Peter Smith, Walter Smith; and Rudy Aragon; grandfather Ray Smith; special close cousin Kristine DeSimone; step-mother Brenda Smith; 3 great nephews, many cousins, relatives and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
