Eric Avery Church Exmore, Virginia Obituary

Eric Avery Church

Our precious Angel has earned his wings and God decided to give him a trip to try out his new armor. We love you and wanted you here, but God has a bigger plan for you. Fly, my son, and don’t look back for your future is greater than you can ever imagine. On March 29, 1997, Eric Avery Church, Jr. became a person of existence and on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, He was called to be with the Lord. “The Last of My Flock” Eric was well-loved and well-known for his kindness and intelligence. He was an excellent student who had many accomplishments on his journey through school. He attended Northampton County public schools as an Honor Society member and excelled in many honors courses in school. His hard work earned him the distinction of graduating second in his class as the Salutatorian of the Northampton High School class of 2015. Eric went on to attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland and was on his way to attend class there on the morning of his demise. Boop, as he was known to family and friends, was always smiling. He was employed at Family Dollar in Exmore, Virginia where he was regarded as helpful and courteous to all. Eric leaves to cherish the beautiful memories of his life: his father, Eric Avery Church, Sr. and his mother, Michele Capers; his sisters, Latanya Matthews, Tasha Hoffler, Kenisha Kellam, Dedra Washington, Kiara Capers, Keisha Sharpe, Crystal Kellam and Natasha McIntosh; brother Kenya Capers; maternal grandmother Alberta Church; aunt, Vickie Burton (Kelvin); uncle, Ronald Church; one great aunt, Sarah Harmonson; nieces Kiyona, Markayla, Alliyah and Chloe; nephews, Tanaj, Alvin, Camron and Jacob; special aunt, Anne Smith; god son, Aaquil Kais Berry and best friend, Alexis Hudgins. Boop, you are going to be missed. Our memories of you will always exist. You are gone, but not forgotten. So spread those wings which you have received! We will love you forever and forever you will be in our thoughts, and forever you will be missed
