<p>Wilma Bell Stratton, 72, of Houston passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas after a series of illnesses. She was born January 1, 1948 in Port Arthur, Texas to James Frank and Jimmy Beatrice Ard Bell.<br /> <br /> Willie, as she was lovingly known by her family, graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School. She had many jobs over the years. She retired from DPS Construction where she worked as an office clerk.<br /> <br /> Mrs. Stratton was a &#39;people person&#39; who enjoyed getting to know folks she has met over the years. &nbsp;Willie was happiest surrounded by her adored family.<br /> <br /> Mrs. Stratton is survived by her mother, Beatrice Bell; her loving husband of 30 years,Fred Stratton; brother David Bell and wife Peggy; sister-in-law Kathy Bell and husband Russell Schnexnaider; &nbsp;step-daughter Dena Poremski and her husband Doug; step-daughter Debbie Schilling; step-son Darrell Stratton and wife Azucena; nephews and nieces, David Bell Jr., Thomas Bell, Brandie Gravis, Nathan Bell and Jayme Perry; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and six great nieces and nephews. She loved each and every one dearly.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;She is preceded in death by her father, James and brother, Lawrence Bell.<br /> <br /> Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Baker-Bell Cemetery in Fred.</p>

Willie, as she was lovingly known by her family, graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School. She had many jobs over the years. She retired from DPS Construction where she worked as an office clerk.

Mrs. Stratton was a 'people person' who enjoyed getting to know folks she has met over the years.  Willie was happiest surrounded by her adored family.
