Mildred B. Temple, 95, of Henrico, died January 28, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Hilliard R. Temple, Jr.; a daughter, Alice Washington; two sons, Edward R. and Rufus I. Temple; step-daughter, Shirley Roane. Surviving are three sons, Rev. Fernando E. Temple, Sr. (Annelore), Rev. Clifford L. Temple, Sr. (Jeanette) and Sgt. General S. Walker Temple (LaShonda); two daughters, Chaka Temple-Haywood and LaTanya Corpening (Juan); 25 grandchildren; host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Emily T. Corbin (Harold) and Rosa l. Smith; two daughters -in-law, Shirley Temple and Loretta Temple; son-in-law, Rev. Irvin Roane; host of nieces and nephews; host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1 from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday, February 2 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1384 New Market Road, Henrico, Va. Rev. Dr. Johnnye S. Massenburg Johnson, officiating. Interment Washington Memorial Park.
