Roger Wesley Curtis, 55, Kokomo, formerly of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020, in Community Howard Regional Health Intensive Care Unit. Roger had been battling serious health issues and was on the organ transplant list for the past several months. Born June 11, 1965, he was the son of the late Fred and Ellen May (Bell) Curtis. From 1966-69, his parents were stationed at the McKinley AFB in Bermuda and Roger grew up with the amenities of that island as his playground. As a youth, Roger was active in the Order of DeMolay and attended the Wheatland Avenue U.M. Church. After graduating from Logansport High School, Roger followed in the footsteps of his parents and older brothers by enlisting in the military. He was very proud of his service to his country. As a veteran of the U.S. Army. Roger worked as a truck driver for many years before taking an early retirement due to his health. Roger is survived by one sister, Wendy Ellis of Twelve Mile; two brothers, Michael (Denise) Curtis. Pueblo, CO; and Dale Curtis; five nephews and nieces, Curtis Ellis, Amber (Coy) Callis, Alex Curtis, Alexsandria Bilvin and Elizabeth Bilvin; seven great-nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Willie Ellis. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020. Memorial contributions may be made to Fisher Funeral Chapel to assist the family with Roger's final expenses. Arrangements are pending. Please check back for an updated obituary.June 5, 1965 - August 26, 202006/05/196508/26/2020
