Memorial services for Jeanne Cruze will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris with Father Stan Weiser officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Morris.

Jeanne Josephine Lauer, daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Kill) Lauer, was born April 19, 1927 in Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and began her education at St. Mary’s Catholic School. She later graduated from Morris Area High School. On November 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Kenneth George Cruze, Sr at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris by Father John A. Fearon. The couple made their home in Morris, where they raised their three children, Rebecca “Becky”, Patricia and Kenneth Jr.

Jeanne worked beside her husband in the family business, Cruze Electric and Sporting Good Store. For many years, she also worked at the Minnesota State Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle (DMV).

Jeanne was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, where she was also an auxiliary member. She also served as President of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 5039. Jeanne enjoyed cooking, playing cards and especially spending time with her family and friends.

Jeanne died on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. She was 93 years old.

She is survived by her three children: Rebecca Duffy of St. Cloud, FL, Patricia (Larry Carr) Cruze of Napa, CA and Kenneth (Londa) Cruze, Jr of Sartell; nine grandchildren: Paul (Cathy) Hesse, Elizabeth (Joshua) Siegel, Laural (Nathan) Davis, Jeremy (Naroman) Schweiger, Michelle (Teague) Cowley, Hannah Cruze, Elle (Damon) Trecha, Lauren Cruze and Kenn Cruze III; nine great-grandchildren: Kenneth and Matthew Hesse, Amber, Aeryn and Ashley Siegel and Noah, Deacon and Leilani Davis and Kaitlyn Cowley. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; granddaughter: Kaitlyn Schweiger; son-in-law: Donald Duffy; brother: Jack Lauer and sister and brother-in-law: Arlene and Lloyd Hoyer.

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
