Jason Brincks

Jason John Brincks, 51, passed away at his home in Charles City, Iowa on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Jason was born November 12, 1968 in New Hampton, Iowa the son of Harold Brincks and Joyce (Dahlen) Hinz. He grew up in Charles City, Iowa and graduated high school in 1987. He earned an Associates of Arts degree at North Iowa Area Community College in 1992. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2020 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City, Iowa from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the funeral home with the burial following the service at Riverside Cemetery. Jason was employed with Mitas/Trelleborg as a Duplex Mill Operator for the past eight years and was a dedicated employee. Prior to this, he worked at Solvay Laboratories for many years. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing and racing Nitro cars with his friends. He loved riding his Harley, watching NASCAR races and was an avid football fan. Jason always made time for his family and friends, whom he loved dearly. Jason was devoted to his family and was especially close to his mother whom he became primary caretaker for in her final years. His family and friends will miss his sense of humor and generosity. He will be missed dearly and we all wish he would have had more time to pursue his future dreams. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold Brincks of Decorah, Iowa and Joyce Hinz of Charles City, Iowa and step-father Dale Hinz of Charles City; his grandparents: John and Gladys Dahlen, New Hampton, Iowa and William and Cecilia Brincks of Waucoma, Iowa; his aunt, Carmelita (Gilbert) Rosenbaum of New Hampton, Iowa. Jason is survived by his sister, Paula Givens and fiancé Randall Higgs of Ames, Iowa; niece, Rachael Givens of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and nephew, Mike Givens of Denver, Colorado; Aunts and Uncles: Gene (Barb) Dahlen of Waterloo, Iowa and Leroy (Thelma) Brincks of Washburn, Iowa; his extended family: Brittany Parker, Charles City, Iowa and Alyssa Bast of Des Moines, Iowa; along with several cousins.
