Mrs. Annie Mae James, 72, of 1324 Sandusky Drive, Columbus, GA passed Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. John A.M.E. Church, Ft. Mitchell, AL with Rev. Rodney Smith, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday, February 3, 2017 from 1 - 8 p.m. EST. Mrs. James was born March 3, 1944 in Ft. Mitchell, AL to the late Robert James and the late Willie Mae Watkins James. She was a housekeeper and a member of St. John A.M.E. Church. Survivors include one son, Matthew James of Columbus, GA; two daughters, Gloria Burt of Washington, DC and Tranajai James of Columbus, GA; one sister, Jeannie James of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
