<p><span style="font-size:20px;"><strong>On Thursday, August 20, 2020, Vernie Irene (Bjorgan) Mosich of Wandering River passed away at the age of 85 years.<br /> Vernie was born on September 28, 1934 in Wadena, Saskatchewan.&nbsp; She married Mike Mosich on November 22, 1958 at the Greek Orthodox Church in Smoky Lake, Alberta.They lived on a homestead that Mike had purchased six years earlier. Together they enjoyed life of farming, gardening and raising their family. Vernie loved her flowers, especially yellow ones. She was very proud of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was well known for her very competitive nature while playing card games and Pictionary with her grandchildren. Her favourite hobbies and pastimes were crocheting, golf, bingo, floor curling, puzzles, crib, travelling, gardening, flowers and family and friends. All the grandchildren enjoyed Grandma&rsquo;s pyrogies, they were made with love for them. She volunteered at The Wandering River School Library for many years reading story books to young student&rsquo;s and she loved the fact they all called her &ldquo;Grandma Vernie&rdquo;.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;"><strong>Vernie is survived by her children: Faye (Bruce) Zayonc, Bill (Brenda) Mosich, Wendy (Charlie) Hebert and Kevin (Monique) Mosich, Grandchildren: Charity, Cassie, Wade, Courtney, Mike, Levi, Jake, William and Drew, Great Grandchildren: Lucas, Cali and Katie, Siblings: Diane Randle, Hazel (Cecil) Cofer, Barbara (Lionel) St. Jean and Hughie (Juliette) Bjorgan, Also numerous nieces and nephews.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;"><strong>She was predeceased by her husband Mike Mosich, her parents: Mary and Henry Bjorgan, Brother &amp; Sister-In-Law: Martin and Peggy Bjorgan and her Brother-In-Law: Dean Randle.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;"><strong>The family would like to thank Dr. Lindenberg and the Lac La Biche Extended Care Unit staff for their compassion and care; Derrick &amp; Nola Kruk of Mission View Chapel; and all those who took the time to visit and send messages of love and support during these trying times.
