Larry Lankford Obituary

Larry Lankford was born June 6, 1947, to Marion Chester “Bud” Lankford and Donna Irene Sharp; passed due to a fight with cancer, COPD and Emphysema.

Larry loved his family.  Deceased before him was his Father, brother Bob, sister Carla and wife Darlene.  Surviving is his wife Ruth of West Chester, mother Donna of Washington, friend Marvin Miller of Frytown, sister Kathy (Dennis) Walker of Lockridge, brother Jerry (Nancy) of Jefferson-Washington, brother Charles of Washington; 5 children, William (Jackie) of California, Lisa Reynolds of Colorado, Terry (Amanda) of Missouri, Tim of What Cheer and Pam Williams of Eldon; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 step daughters and grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Larry worked multiple jobs, farm service, truck driver, road construction, plumbing and was well known for his hard work.  He enjoyed hobbies of camping, fishing, hunting, trapping, crafts, card playing and bowling.  Work hard, then have fun.

Open visitation for family & friends will be 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Behner Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow the visitation.

Private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Washington County and mailed to Ruth Lankford, 405 West Street, West Chester, IA 52359.
