<p>Robert E. &lsquo;Bob&rsquo; Bradford, 89, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. Bob was born on January 12, 1931 in Linton to Chester R. &lsquo;Chet&rsquo; and Hazel (Dean) Bradford. Bob married Suzanne Priest on May 29, 1957.</p> <p>Bob was a US Air Force, Korean War Veteran. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Linton Civitan Club, Linton Rotary Club, American Legion Post #22, BPO Elks #866 and Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce. Bob also served on The Linton Public Library Board. Bob was employed at Coca-Cola Bottling, Linton Plant for 29 years, Bradford Construction for 14 years and UDWI for 15 years before he retired in 2013. Bob will be remembered most for the many years of hard work he put into the Linton Freedom Festival Parade. He would always be seen riding his red and white moped around the parade route making sure everything and everyone was in their place. He served the Freedom Festival Task Force, tirelessly, without waiver, enjoying every minute.</p> <p>Left behind to cherish the memories of Bob is one niece, Diana Fulford of Linton, good friend, Jack Norris of Bloomfield and many friends in the Linton area.</p> <p>Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Suzanne (Priest) Bradford; son, Robert E. Bradford, Jr.; two sisters, Infant, Norma Jean Bradford and Shirley H. Holland.</p> <p>Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. A funeral service honoring Bob&rsquo;s life will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Ben Biggs officiating. Military rites will be provided, immediately following the service, on the front lawn of the funeral home by the American Legion Post #22.</p> <p>Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.</p> <p>All arrangements were entrusted to Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. Robert E. ‘Bob’ Bradford, 89, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. Bob was born on January 12, 1931 in Linton to Chester R. ‘Chet’ and Hazel (Dean) Bradford. Bob married Suzanne Priest on May 29, 1957.
