MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, August 14, 2020 for Bernice McGee Siebert, 93, who passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Pastor David Plunkett will conduct funeral services.

Entombment will take place in New St. Ann’s Mausoleum.

Bernice was born on March 27, 1927 to Yourick and Jeanne Guillory. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, gardening, reading, playing cards and crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She was a great storyteller with a great recall of the past and loved sharing those memories.  She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Bernice is survived by her children; Cynthia McGee Blanchard and husband James Blanchard of Lafayette; Kenneth McGee of Eunice; Pamela McGee of Denver; Mona McGee of Mamou; Dr. Jodi McGee of Baton Rouge; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Yourick and Jeanne Guillory, her first husband, Bobby McGee, her second husband, Henry Siebert, her sisters, Berna Kuntz and Joyce Powell; her brothers, Joseph, Burley, Yourick, Jr., George and Rodney Guillory, and her grandson, Schuyler McGee.

At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, August 14 from 10:00 AM until service time.
