Jo Ann Billingsley

Jo Ann Carol Kenney Billingsley, age 75 of Hickory, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Carolina Caring in Newton. Joann was born December 18. 1944 in Cook County, Illinois to the late Joseph and Marguerite Dewes Kenney. Joann was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Hickory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters. She is survived by: Husband: Bruce M. Billingsley of the home Daughter: Cristin Cartwright of Hickory Grandson: William Cartwright Sister: Elizabeth Kobylecky of South Carolina The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton with Pastor Monica Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Burke Mortuary and Crematory in Newton is serving the Billingsley family.
