Mrs. Mary Louise Smith Jackson Obituary

Our Heavenly Father Almighty, Thank you for blessing us with a very special angel, MARY LOUISE SMITH JACKSON. On Monday, August 10, 2020, God whispered to our dearly beloved Mary “Servant, Well-Done” as He gave to her, her very own wings and welcomed her, to her new Heavenly Home. Mary was born on Saturday, March 18, 1933, in Wrens, GA, to the parentage of the late Amanda Alice Patterson Smith and the late Willie James Smith. A native of Jefferson County, GA, Mary joined the Christian Family of Ways Grove Baptist Church (Stellaville Community) in Wrens, GA at an early age. She served as a faithful member as long as her health allowed her to do so. Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert O. Jackson. Not only was Mary a devoted mother and wife, she was the living embodiment of generosity, kindness, and unselfishness to everyone she encountered. Her legacy of love will be treasured as long as we shall live. Now that she is in Heaven, Mary will be united with her husband, Robert O. Jackson, her daughter, Mary Lou Smith Oliver and her loving parents, Amanda & Willie Smith. Her memories will forever live on in the hearts of the ones she leaves behind: six children, James Edward Smith of Wrens, GA, Willie Mae Harris, Willie James Smith, Lee Marion Smith, David Smith Sr. and Sherry S. Hurley, all of Augusta, GA; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Vonnarey V. Smith of Charlotte, NC and Francina Smith of Thomasville, GA; two sons-in-law, Charles Harris and Andrew Hurley, both of Augusta, GA; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
