Obituary of Joan Wadden Wadden, Joan Anne (Martin) - In her 78th year, died peacefully at her daughter Anne's residence on Sunday June 17th, 2012. Formerly of Alcorn Avenue, Toronto. Joan is survived by her 3 loving children, Caregivers Anne Arnold and her husband Gord of Omemee, Cathy Gies and her husband Bill of Wasaga Beach and Fabian and his wife Kerry of Brampton. Mom will be truly missed by her 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren who gave her so much joy. Joan is survived by her two sisters', Elizabeth Jackson of Trenton and Marjorie Owen of Toronto. Until her battle with cancer became so hard Joan was the caregiver and companion of her sister Marjorie for many years. Joan was pre-deceased by her husband Fabian, her parents George and Sarah Martin, and by her 7 brothers and 1 sister. Joan also leaves behind many relatives and great friends in the Martin and Wadden families. At Joan's request there will be no service. Joan's wishes are to have her remains brought back to her hometown of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. The "Toronto Blue Jays" have just lost their biggest fan! Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Peterborough Relay for Life "Barbie's Angel's Team" would be greatly appreciated and may be made at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling Community Alternative Funeral Home at 705-742-1875. Anne has been part of this great event for many years.
