James "Jim" Julian Bland, Jr., 76, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, August 8, following a brief illness.  A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00A.M., Saturday, October 17 at Oak Grove Cemetery, McRae.

A native of Jacksonville, Mr. Bland was the son of the late James Julian Bland, Sr. Retired from General Motors, he was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.  Mr. Bland was preceded in death by a son, Scott Bland; grandchildren, Chase M. Reeves and Kennon Jernigan; and brothers, Robert Bland, Buck Bland and Johnny Bland.  His mother, Dorothy Anderson Bland, followed him in death on September 22, 2020.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte K. Bland of Jacksonville; daughter, Julie Renee Bland of Kennesaw; stepchildren, Pamela Jernigan of Atlanta and David M. Reeves of Jacksonville; brother, Roy A. Bland of Douglas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
