Jimmie (Jim) Gordon White of Sun City passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer on August 4, 2020. He was born November 25,1934 in Oklahoma City, OK. Jim is survived by his wife Pamela, sons John (wife Joanna), Mitchell, Montgomery; sister Letha, brother Jerry (wife Karen); many nieces and nephews, five grand children, and one great grand. In the early forties, Jim and his family migrated from Oklahoma to Arizona to work the crops in several states which entailed living in tents and government camps. Wherever the crops were ready to harvest, Jim and his family followed. He served in the U.S. Army. Jim worked for and retired from the telecommunications industry after 35 years as a manager. During his retirement, he worked as a contractor in telecommunications, drove for Tauck Tours, and owned a floral shop. Jim loved estate sales, thrift stores, and was an electronics aficionado. He was an avid music lover especially country music. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His zest for life and tenacious nature had an impact on everyone he met. Jim was well loved and will be deeply missed. Interment: October 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona Followed by an Open House Celebration of Life any time between 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1519 E. Wahalla Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85024 In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in Jim's honor to Divine Hospice, 16165 N. 83rd Ave., Suite 200/237, Peoria, AZ 85382
