Thomas R. Haberman Obituary

Thomas R. Haberman, 79, passed away Aug. 6, 2010 at his home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug 12, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM. Friends may greet the family Aug. 11, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. A parish rosary will be said at 4:45 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. For health and safety, all are encouraged to wear masks. Tom was born June 1, 1941 in Owatonna the son of Richard and Loretta (Hondl) Haberman. Tom attended Owatonna High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1959. He pursued a plumbing degree and then went to work at Wencl Plumbing in Hope. Tom enlisted in the National Guard and shortly there after took over the family farm which he continued to farm for the rest of his life. Tom was united in marriage to his beautiful and loving wife Katherine on January 8, 1966 at St. Theodores Catholic Church in Albert Lea. Tom was extremely proud of the farm that He and Kathy built. He loved his John Deere equipment and his hit and miss engine. He enjoyed going to auction and serving on the Somerset Township Board. Tom had a loving family and always enjoyed spending time with them at his cabin. Tom will be missed by his son Daniel (Katie) Haberman and their children Abby and Ryan, daughter Susan (Curt) Stakston and their children Parker and Sophia. Sister Kathy (Craig) Stevens of Millville, MN. Tom is preceded in death by his wife Kathy in 2018, Brother Duane Haberman.
