<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>William &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; Thomas&nbsp;Hingston&nbsp;Johns, II., age 88 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 07, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Born in Bayside, New York on July 17, 1932,&nbsp;he was the son of the late John Johns and Elizabeth Gordon Johns. Bill served his country as a captain in the United States&nbsp;Army and fought proudly in the Korean Conflict&nbsp;as a helicopter pilot.&nbsp;Bill and his family lived overseas for 26 years and retired to Clarkesville.</b></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan&nbsp;Pavlick&nbsp;Johns; daughter,&nbsp;Samantha Johns Richardson; daughter and son-in-law,&nbsp;Katharine Johns Buck &amp;&nbsp;Braden Buck; daughter,&nbsp;Georgia S. William “Bill” Thomas Hingston Johns, II., age 88 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 07, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Bayside, New York on July 17, 1932, he was the son of the late John Johns and Elizabeth Gordon Johns. Bill served his country as a captain in the United States Army and fought proudly in the Korean Conflict as a helicopter pilot. Bill and his family lived overseas for 26 years and retired to Clarkesville.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan Pavlick Johns; daughter, Samantha Johns Richardson; daughter and son-in-law, Katharine Johns Buck & Braden Buck; daughter, Georgia S. Renner; son, William “Trace” Johns; as well as grandchildren Christopher Collins, Stephanie Richardson, Addison Buck, Houston Buck, Alex Malloy and Christine Johns.
