<p>Austin &ldquo;Buddy&rdquo; W. McKenzie, Jr. age 67, of Gautier passed away on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans surrounded by his family, friends and Pastors.</p> <p>He was born July 17, 1953 in Laurel, Mississippi and grew up in Tylertown, MS. He has been a resident of Gautier since 1974. Buddy was a former Pipefitter for Ingalls Shipbuilding and worked for his Father-in-law at Andy&rsquo;s Body Shop in Pascagoula. Buddy was currently self employed for his business, McKenzie Lawncare. He was a longtime member of Spanish Trail Baptist Church for over 20 years where he served as&nbsp;a Trustee and an Usher of the church. &nbsp;He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin W. and Ina McKenzie.</p> <p>Buddy was survived by his wife of 17 years, Sandy Fell McKenzie; ); son, Montie Grier; &nbsp;step- daughter, Honor Six (Chad); two sisters, Jerry M. Thomas and Jeannie Verzwyvelt; three grandchildren, Jeremy and Emily Six; Caija Grier; special nephew, Jordan Fell;&nbsp; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family member, and loving church family.</p> <p>Funeral Service will be Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, 5:00pm, Spanish Trail Baptist Church in Gautier.&nbsp; Friends may visit from 4:00-5:00pm at the church. &nbsp;His burial will be privately held by his family only.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Acute Myeloid Leukemia Association and Gideon International.</p> <p><strong>Please wear a face mask and social distancing will be necessary at this services</strong>.</p>
