Eureka, Missouri- Nova “Danice” McCarty, 87, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She was born November 25, 1932 in Leachville to the late Calvin and Dora Duncan. She and Jack moved to St. Louis for work and to raise their family. After twenty-eight years, they moved back to Monette in 1985 and she moved back to Eureka to live near her children in 2013. She worked in food service as management. She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Blount of St. Louis, Missouri and Daniel McCarty (Laura) of Eureka; sister, Jackie Bibb (Larry) of Monette; a brother, Carlen Duncan (Deanna) of Southaven, Mississippi; grandchildren, Bryce McCarty and Laci McCarty and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack McCarty; son-in-law, Edward Blount; siblings, Charles Duncan, Jerol Duncan and Verline Chrestman and brother-in-law, Wayne Short. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Monette Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home. Honored to serve as a pallbearers are Larry Bibb, Mike Brown, Michael Mangrum, Alin Chrestman and Heath McGhughey.
