Lois Evelyn Martin
Lois L. Martin, age 89 of Sanford passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Parkview Retirement Center in Sanford. <br/><br/>Lois was born on September 24, 1930 in Galax, Virginia to the late Robert Thomas Leath and Elizabeth Funk Leath. She will always be remembered as being a dedicated and active member at Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Sanford and also for her dedication as a volunteer clergy at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. <br/><br/>She is survived by her daughter Libby Martin Ragland of Sanford; a daughter-in-law, Holly Hawkins of Raleigh, NC; brother, Robert Leath and his wife Lynn of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren: Chadwick Hawkins, Martha Honeycutt (Colton) of Sanford; Jennifer Sturm (Bryan) of Sanford; Bryan Ragland (Lisa) of Sanford; great-grandchildren: Abigail and Hannah Sturm; and Nikki and Hayden Ragland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph C. Hawkins and B. Paul Martin; a son, Ronald C. Hawkins and her son-in-law, Jerry Ragland. <br/><br/>A private graveside service will be held at Buffalo Cemetery in Sanford with Rev.
