Federico Emmanuel Gomez Suarez Federico Emmanuel Gomez Suarez of Sammamish passed away, Sunday, July 19, 2020 at home. He was 36. Federico was born November 15, 1983 in Celaya Guanajuato, Mexico. He was raised in Celaya Guanajuato, were he attended local schools. Following high school Federico furthered his education at Univeridad de Pas Americas where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Throughout his career Federico earned advancement through hard work and attention to detail. He has worked as a senior software engineer and senior technical program manager before moving to Seattle to work for Microsoft as a principal software engineer manager. Federico was passionate about caring for others. He was an advisory board member of Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children. Federico also volunteered as a hike leader for Seattle Mountaineers. In addition to hiking, he enjoyed optics development and leading his team that focused on machine learning to solve business problems. His family will remember him as the light in their lives, their most precious treasure, the kind of person who made the world a better placed. A loving son, brother and friend, he is deeply missed. A funeral mass will be said at 11:00am, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sammamish.
