Linda H. Darnell King, 75, of Stonewood Forest, Morgantown, died Saturday, August 1, 2020 at her home after a lengthy illness with her husband, son, and Shonne by her side. She was born April 15, 1945 in Morgantown, the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Criss) Darnell. Linda enjoyed going to yard sales with her husband and making home crafts for family members. Linda was a Methodist by faith and worked in nursing homes in Morgantown. Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald R. King; son, Donald L. King and Shonne; and sister-in-law, Clara Morgan. Linda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister-in-law, and great aunt to many nephews and nieces and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Darnell and Albert Darnell, Jr.; sisters, Elaine Bishop, Sara Salsberry, Marie Shrout, and Bertha Swihart. Linda was the last survivor of her immediate family. At Linda's request, there will be no viewing and cremation services are under the direction of Hastings Funeral Home.
