Laura "Diane" Jackson

Laura “Diane” Jackson, 81, of Grand Ledge, went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2020 in Lansing, MI. She was born May 7, 1939 in Tyrone Twp., Livingston County, MI, daughter of Cornell and Jeanette (Cook) Dexter. Diane was a kindergarten teacher for Wacousta Elementary and one of the founding teachers of the Wacousta Co-Op Preschool. She was a member of The Red Hats Society, Scarlet Ladies Chapter; enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, reading, spending time with family and friends, and loved her collection of sheep memorabilia. She is survived by her son, Jason (Staci) Jackson of Grand Ledge, daughter Sarah (Kelly) Davidson of Grand Ledge; 7 grandchildren: Matthew (Heather), Katherine, Nathan, and Joshua Davidson, Paul, Carrie, and Emma Kate Jackson; 2 sisters, Connie (Harry) Thomas, Marilyn Fisher, twin brother Larry (Mary Nell) Dexter, and sister-in-law Angie (Jim) Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Samuel M. Jackson, brother Harold Dexter, sister-in-law Carrie Nell (Johnny Lee) Simpson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with visitation from 1 – 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 6th at the Sandy Branch Cemetery in Weakley County, Tennessee.
