<p>Andrew Douglas Kornegay</p> <p>MOUNT OLIVE</p> <p>Andrew Douglas Kornegay, 82, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 1, 2020.&nbsp;</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.</p> <p>Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Manly and Maggie Lou Westbrook Kornegay; &nbsp;brothers Glenn S. Kornegay and Lynwood T. Kornegay &ldquo;Lyn Tom&rdquo;; sister-in-law Virginia G. Kornegay; and brother-in-law Clifton Quinn.&nbsp; He was a lifelong member of Woodland United Methodist Church.&nbsp; He was a graduate of B. F. Grady High School and a retired farmer.&nbsp; Andrew had a good sense of humor and a great memory for family and community history.</p> <p>Andrew is survived by a sister Mildred K. Quinn; sister-in-law Genette H. Kornegay Tate; nieces Glenda K. Alcock, Theresa K. Hardy and Ricky, Deborah Q. Drew and Chris, Denise K. Poole and David, Donna K. Stilley, Dianne K. Wiley and Doug; &nbsp;nephew Douglas Quinn, eight great- nieces and nephews and 11 great-great nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland United Methodist Church, 2695 Tram Road, Albertson, N. C. 28508.</p> <p>The family would like to thank the staff of The Gardens of Rose Hill and Vidant Hospice Care for their loving care.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Andrew Douglas Kornegay, 82, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 1, 2020. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Manly and Maggie Lou Westbrook Kornegay;  brothers Glenn S. Kornegay and Lynwood T. Kornegay “Lyn Tom”; sister-in-law Virginia G. Kornegay; and brother-in-law Clifton Quinn.  He was a lifelong member of Woodland United Methodist Church.  He was a graduate of B. F.
