Bonnie K. (Hellyer) James McDonald

Bonnie K. (Hellyer) James McDonald, 76, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, in her nephew's home following a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born January 14, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late A.A. and Helen Beatrice Hellyer. She was married to Roger Andrew James who preceded her in death in 1961. Bonnie worked as a bartender for many years. She enjoyed family, friends, good conversation and a cold Coors Light. She had lived in Oklahoma for several years before moving back recently to be closer to her family. She is survived by one son, Roger Lee James; four granddaughters, Melissa, Justina, Elizabeth and Jessica; four sisters: Becky Hellyer, Karen Douglas, Eva Bowen and Jody Clark; and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by one son, Richard Allen O'Dell; three brothers, John, Bud and Dave, and three sisters, Regina "Sis", Dolly and Kathy. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Condolences to the Hellyer families, I remembered her name although I did not know her quite as well as I did John Hellyer married to Liz and I did know Kathy, sorry for your loss..Robin Hamilton
