Private graveside services for Katherine Marie Phillipe of East Grand Forks, MN and formerly of Warroad, MN, will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Warroad, MN.  Katherine passed away August 8, 2020 at the Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks at the age of 80.

Katherine Marie Phillipe passed away on August 1, 2020 at Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks, MN at the age of 80. She was born on April 25, 1940 at Park River, ND to Palmer and Margaret (Levin) Odden. She grew up in Park River, attending school at Park River Elementary and Walsh County Ag School (WCAS). On August 17, 1957 she married Bob Phillipe in Thief River Falls, MN and they made their home near Warroad, MN.

She loved being a farmer’s wife and helped Bob with many farm activities. Bailing hay and helping when the sheep were lambing were only a couple of the chores she enjoyed. Katherine also worked at Polaris Industries in Roseau, MN and retired from there after 28 years. She loved taking care of her plants and flowers and was very creative, spending endless hours crocheting. She also enjoyed raising and giving away kittens and cats. Above all, Katherine was a good, caring, and faith-filled person. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad and when she couldn’t attend services, she would listen on the radio. After she moved to Edgewood Vista she would attend church services there.

Katherine is survived by her sister Pauline (Allen) Machovsky and brother Dennis Odden, both of Grand Forks, ND; several nieces and cousins and her Godson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Margaret; husband Bob Phillipe, and her niece, Cindy Hryzan.
