Lawrence B. Christie, 72, of North Little Rock, passed away on August 1, 2020.  He was born in Lowell, MA on December 1, 1947 to Lawrence Francis and Marion (King) Christie. He was a United States Air Force veteran, a retired Police Chief with the Blytheville, Arkansas Police Department and a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.

His scholastic honors include Criminal Justice Education, FBI National Academy, U.S. Department of Justice in Quantico, Virginia, FBI National Academy Firearms, Sharpshooter, Quantico, Virginia, Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, Basic Police Training, Mississippi County Community College, Associate of Applied Science, and Law Enforcement Officers Training, Applied Criminology.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Tammy Christie of North Little Rock; children, Kellie Christie Coats (Derek) of Columbia, MO, Geoffrey Christie, Melvin Williams (fiancé, Pat Janes), and Kevin Williams (Kandi); grandchildren, Caleb Williams and Carter Coats; siblings, his twin brother, Bill Christie, Lois Christie, and Marilyn Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland Corner Baptist Church where he was a member or to Dayspring Baptist Church, P.O. Box 13166, Maumelle, AR  72113.
