Annetta Irene Pierce, 97, of Lemoyne, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born on January 15, 1923 in Duncannon, Perry County, PA, to the late Samuel and Anna Francis (Rice) George. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Warren George, James George, 3 sisters, Vivian Cooper, Elverta McCrea and Louise Anderson. Annetta had previously been employed by the former Manbeck’s Bakery in Lemoyne, as well as Rite Aid. She was the widow of Benjamin F. Pierce. Surviving are her sister, Shirley L. Staples of Morristown, TN, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 3, 2020 in the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 North High Street, Duncannon, PA 17020. Burial will be in Dellville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday in the funeral home.
