Gloria Bronderslev passed away at her home in rural Angora on July 20, 2020, surrounded by her dog friends, Jake and Maggie. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Donnie, on April 19 of this year. She is laid to rest next to her brother at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. Gloria has lived on the family farm with her brother all her life. She enjoyed working with her livestock and won several top awards with her sheep when she was in 4-H. Gloria was born on December 6, 1951 to Leo and Ruth (Wagoner) Bronderslev. She attended country school and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1969. She remained on the farm helping the family raise Shorthorn and Angus cattle. She and Donnie would ride horses to check and round up cattle, and later used four wheelers for the purpose. When Gloria was in the kitchen, she was a great cook, and especially known for her cherry cheesecake. She also made fantastic sweet potatoes and many other dishes as well as canned She was very kind hearted and somewhat shy, but loved chatting on the phone to her friends. She was interested in the Broadwater Library and enjoyed country living magazines. She had a tremendous infectious giggle, especially if Donnie would tease her. She added somewhat to her mother’s salt and pepper collection, and had a great collection of dolls herself. Donnie added to her collection over the years with dolls which had taken her fancy. Gloria was also preceded in death by her parents. She will be greatly missed by her cousins and friends.
