<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><strong><em>James Wencesslas Berry, II<br /> July 23, 1934 ~ July 20, 2020</em></strong></span></span></p> <p><br /> James W. Berry II (Jim), age 85, died Monday, July 20, 2020 at his home in Littleton, Colorado.The son of Helen (Bartsch) and Albert Berry, he was born July 23,1934 at Kensington, Kansas.&nbsp;He graduated from Jewell High School with the class of 1953.&nbsp;He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska.&nbsp;He returned to Kansas State University, receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1959.</p> <p>On June 21, 1959 Jim was united in marriage to Kroyla Kareen Ball at the Methodist Church in Mankato, Kansas.&nbsp;This union was blessed with two daughters, Carmen and Cristi, and a son, Jay.&nbsp;</p> <p>Jim was employed as an aerospace engineer at Lockheed Martin for 30 years until his retirement in 1990.&nbsp; He was assigned to work on the NASA Viking contract in the 1970&rsquo;s and went to the JPL mission control center in 1976 for the Viking landing and operation on Mars.&nbsp;</p> <p>He continued to work as Subcontract Manager of Special Programs at Lockheed until retirement.&nbsp; Jim enjoyed participating for many years in&nbsp;Lockheed Martin golf and bowling leagues.</p> <p>Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister,&nbsp; Marylee Lake.</p> <p>Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kroyla of Littleton; daughter Carmen Berry of Denver; daughter Cristi and son-in-law Rick Clodfelder of Morrison, Colorado; son Jay Berry of&nbsp;Conifer, Colorado; Michele Berry of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister Pat and brother-in-law Bob Willmeth of Jewell, Kansas; three granddaughters, Bailey Roberts, Ryan Fernandez and Kelsey Brown; two grandsons James and Cameron Berry; and three great grand children Milano and&nbsp;Lillian Fernandez, and Emma Brown.</p> <p>A committal service will be held at Fort Logan Cemetery on August 10, 2020 at 2:30 PM.</p> <p>Memorial donations can be made to the Four Mile Fire Department, 8437 CR11, Florissant, Colorado 80816 or the Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec Street, Denver, Colorado 80231.</p>

James W. Berry II (Jim), age 85, died Monday, July 20, 2020 at his home in Littleton, Colorado.The son of Helen (Bartsch) and Albert Berry, he was born July 23,1934 at Kensington, Kansas. He graduated from Jewell High School with the class of 1953. He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He returned to Kansas State University, receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1959.

On June 21, 1959 Jim was united in marriage to Kroyla Kareen Ball at the Methodist Church in Mankato, Kansas. This union was blessed with two daughters, Carmen and Cristi, and a son, Jay.
