<p>DiAnn Butler,72, passed away Wednesday, July 22, at her residence in Thermopolis after a bout with cancer.</p> <p>Born April 30, 1948, in Nebraska, she was the daughter of William &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; and Bonnie (Lund) Cook.&nbsp; She came to Wyoming as a small child and grew up in Worland.&nbsp; In her mid 20&rsquo;s she settled in Thermopolis.</p> <p>Employed by Big Horn Enterprise she cared for the disabled for over 50 years.&nbsp; A compassionate spirit, she helped the unwanted feel wanted and part of a family.&nbsp; A determined woman, the more she was given the more she shared.&nbsp; DiAnn was instrumental in developing Special Olympics and served as a coach.</p> <p>She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.&nbsp; Camping was one of her favorite outings.</p> <p>Those cherishing her memory are her uncles, Dick (Lilly) Lund and Curt Lund; aunt, Janice (Earl) Haggerty; daughter, Lisha (Chris Crochet) Bui of Casper; adopted children, Gayna Carney, Sheriden Lendoye, Debra Ramsey, Mary Hoffman, Mickey Morton, Carol Moore and Connie Loose; one grandchild; two grand dogs and lifelong friends, Carol Eibright, Linda Simondi, Shari Beck and Dava Bleak.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents, soulmate, Jack Jolly, uncle Allan Lund and Mark Farwell.</p> <p>Memorial services will be Saturday, August 15, 2020, 10:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thermopolis with Pastor Sam Needham officiating.</p>

DiAnn Butler,72, passed away Wednesday, July 22, at her residence in Thermopolis after a bout with cancer.

Born April 30, 1948, in Nebraska, she was the daughter of William “Bill” and Bonnie (Lund) Cook.  She came to Wyoming as a small child and grew up in Worland.  In her mid 20’s she settled in Thermopolis.
