Omar Wynne’s Obituary You are safe in God’s Arms Omar Derek Wynne was born July 25, 1972 in New York City to Stanley Wynne and Guintine McGee Wynne both deceased. Omar died on July 3, 2020 at home in the Bronx from a heart attack at the age of 47. He lived in the Bronx, New York with his father Stanley Wynne until his death. His father preceded him in death on June 8, 2020. He has a sister Delia Gael Wynne of Mobile, Alabama. Omar was an intelligent, friendly young man gifted in drawing and science. As a teenager he loved music, particularly the rap group, Run DMC, he was charismatic and easy going. He was very popular with his peers. In 1984 Omar relocated to his mother native home in Mobile, Alabama along with his mother and sister. He attended school in Alabama for a while, then he moved to California with his aunt. There he continued his education at David Starr Jordan High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and became an Air Support Technician. He served from 1990-1993 and was honorably discharged. After serving his country in the Navy, he settled again in his native home New York. He worked as a customer representative for Baby R’ Us in Yonker, New York and in N.Y.C. Later in years he became a very devoted caregiver to his father when his father’s health began to fail. He helped with him until his death. You would never hear Omar complain about anything. When he was asked, “how are you doing?”, he would always say “I’m Good”. He leaves to mourn his loving sister Delia Wynne and Rodney Lynch, his nephew Michael, Jonathan, and Matthew all from Mobile, Alabama. He leaves to mourn members on his mother and father’s side of the family. Aunt’s, Gladys “Sheila” Bonner and Gloria “Pip” McCulley both of California. Vickie Bell Prive and Verniece Austin of Alabama. Uncle Vector Bell of Alabama, Leonard Bell of Florida. Curtis Poncho McGee of California and Barry McGee of New Jersey. He also leaves to mourn his Aunt Elizabeth Piles of Jackson, Mississippi, Uncle James Wynne Jr. known as Uncle Sonny (Beatrice) of the Bronx New York, and Aunt Sonja Cumberbatch (Lester) of the Bronx New York. A special family friend Ruth White of the Bronx New York. A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Sleep on Omar; Take your rest we Love and Miss you, but God loves you best.
