Russell "Rusty" McCart Obituary

Rusty entered this world on April 23, 1958 to Don and Rose (Chisholm) McCart.  He left this earth to begin a new journey on July 18, 2020 at the age of 62.

Rusty was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school.  He loved to hunt and fish with his grandfather, or with his dog, he knew no limits.  He got his pilots license at age 17 and took off from there with a life full of adventure, fun and mischief.  Rusty’s perfect smile, big brown eyes and charm got him both in and out of a lot of trouble (mostly out).

Rusty lived, loved and dreamed BIG.  He will be remembered for his smile, laughter, his muscles, his caring heart and the numerous stories.

He was intensely protective of anyone he loved especially his mom and friend and partner of 13 years, Jennifer Davis.  Rusty was baptized on August 18, 2019.  Rusty will be missed and loved by all who knew him…...until we meet again.

Rusty was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Osea McCart of Morris, OK; paternal grandmother, Eldora McCart of Morris, OK; maternal grandfather, Pete “Chisholm of Okmulgee, OK; maternal grandmother, Opal Chisholm of Okmulgee, OK; uncles, Bob McCart of Morris, Wendell McCart of Morris, Bill Chisholm of Henryetta, OK and Tommy “Sunny” Chisholm of Okmulgee.

He is survived by his father, Don McCart of Haskell, OK; mother, Rose Chisholm McCart of Muskogee; son, Rusty McCart of Welling, OK; daughter-in-law, Amanda McCart of Welling, OK; son, Cody McCart of Morris; daughter-in-law, Samantha McCart of Morris; sister, Cheryl McCart of Muskogee; brother, Jeff McCart of Muskogee; sister Dana Freeman-Tackett of Muskogee; brother-in-law, Mike Tackett of Muskogee; longtime friend and partner, Jennifer Davis of Muskogee; grandchildren, Maleah McCart of Welling, Mason McCart of Welling, Paxton McCart of Morris, Legend McCart of Morris; nieces, Megan Ottenbacher and Beth Lewis; nephews, Waylon Lewis, Evan Freeman, and Dakota McCart.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Haskell Airport in Haskell, OK
