Mrs. Nancy Summer Mack, 91, of Monroe, NC went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2020. She was born in Oakboro, NC on July 15, 1929 daughter to the late Leland Sease and Lottie Barbee Summer. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Bailey Mack, Sr., son John Bailey Mack, Jr., and grandson John Brandon Mack. Also, two brothers Leland S. Summer, James L. Summer, and sister Betty S. Martin. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 1:45pm prior to the service. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Pamela Nancy Mack of Mocksville, NC and Kathy Mack Richardson of Marshville, NC, and son Mike Leland Mack of Monroe, NC, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Nancy was a gentle soul and devoted wife and mother. She along with her husband John and children made Monroe their home in 1966 after her husband had been transferred by CSX Railroad. She later worked for Family Dollar Stores at the Sunset Drive location for over 20 years. For the past 5 years, she lived in Clemmons, NC at Trinity Elms Assisted Living and Nursing Center.
